Fit For A King's 'Oblivion' Reaches 1 Million Streams

Since their recently released album, Dark Skies, dropped, Fit For A King has been reaping the rewards. In under 1 week, the album has already surpassed 1 Million streams on Spotify, setting the band up for what could be the best first week in their 10-year history. To celebrate this achievement, featured track, “Oblivion,” now has an impressive music video to illustrate what we’ve all been feeling.

The emotional, heavy hitter of a track is musically and instrumentally unnerving. "Oblivion, on its own, is a very personal songs to me, but with this video, it's brought to a different level. The video shows how powerful forgiveness can be, and even when we don't think others deserve it, God does. This video definitely isn't for the faint of heart. But we believe it can show the power of forgiveness through the pain,” says the band of the music video, which you can check out below!

Dark Skies was produced and mixed by the legendary Drew Fulk (I Prevail, Motionless In White, Memphis May Fire.) Dark Skies is the band's evocative declaration of a hard won victory. "This album is far from happy. It's about personal struggles," explains singer Ryan Kirby.

Fit For A King will be hitting the road again next week when they join genre legends The Devil Wears Prada on their 10 Year Anniversary Tour of With Roots Above And Branches Below. Tour dates below!

New Music Video Ahead Of Debut LP From Forever Starts Today

The female-fronted power pop/punk outfit Forever Starts Today signed with Third String Records recently and are gearing up for their debut release Always Hope due out this Friday, August 25th! To celebrate, the band has shared a brand new music video for single, "Last One Standing."

The album was produced and recorded by Joseph Milligan at ORB Studios and mixed/masted by Paul Leavitt. Consisting of Christina Murphy (Lead Vocals), Nathan Dunn (Guitar & Vocals), Troy Hirschhorn (Guitar), Kyle Salaga (Bass), and Nicholas Turner (Drums), Forever Starts Today aim to share  messages of hope, positivity, and discovery throughout their lyrics.

Check out the video below!

Always Hope explores some of the tougher things in life (like losing a loved one, surviving abuse and finally cutting ties in a toxic relationship) but they all tie around in a positive way. The band elaborates, "If you listen to our new record, you will hear that we draw inspiration from everyday life. We tackle a wide range of topics on Always Hope, but it can really be summed up by saying 'this is what it means to go through life in your 20's, in today's world.' We didn't shy away from any of the more intense topics either." The main goal is to connect with people through music, by delivering a sense of hope and positivity by opening up about some tough situations brings a sense of rawness to the lyrics and sound. The band continues, "we hope that in doing so we can help provide some listeners with a sense of sympathy or empathy and the feeling that they aren't alone in whatever they are experiencing."

They have a few shows lined up if you're into them!

“Smoke Screen” Music Video from DozerTX

Texas-based band DozerTX has partnered with Purevolume to unleash their new music video for “Smoke Screen” off their recent EP, Centerpiece.

DozerTX is comprised of Kevin Cale (former member of Handguns), vocalist/bassist Miles Mcmillan, guitarist Eli Kypfer, and drummer Mark Jimenez. Centerpiece is their second EP, and it was released earlier this month, produced by Luke Garrigus and Joey Hernandez at Blackroom Studios. For fans of bands like The Story So Far and Basement, DozerTX will sound familiar and enticing.

All of Centerpiece is available for streaming, and the music video for “Smoke Screen” can be watched below!

DozerTX, from San Angelo, TX, formed in 2014 when Kevin Cale of Handguns wanted to start writing his own music. The result of his branching out was DozerTX, described as “an aggressive yet emotional pop-punk style with dual vocalists to keep the listener guessing.”

Their first EP, Self Sabotage, was released in 2015, followed by an extensive tour through Texas. DozerTX brings excitement to their fans through their music and their live performances, and they are incredibly grateful to their fan base for being there every step of the way. Centerpiece, released on March 10th, 2017, was created with the image of overcoming toxic relationships in mind.

Vocalist Miles Mcmillan said this about the EP: “Never be afraid to put your happiness above someone else’s, especially if you aren’t happy with your life. Don’t let someone you love abuse you physically, verbally, or mentally.”

A strong message, delivered through equally powerful songs. For more on DozerTX, check out their social media below!
