Sinking. Release Fun, New Music Video

Sinking., the synth pop duo featuring Kyle Ekstrom and Darian Renee, are excited to finally release their debut single!

The music video for the single, entitled “Bloom,” is a cinematic take on the dark story that Ekstrom told lyrically. The duo is currently working on finishing their debut release that is slated to be released next year, but until then you can check out "Bloom," down below!

“I think what Darian and I are doing is really exciting. Both of us have alot of diverse influences. Chvrches being one of my favorites. It's cool to see how it all comes together. It feels like something natural but also challenging ourselves as artists. This song tells a bit of a dark story lyrically. I'd like to think beautiful things can come from the narratives like that," says Kyle.

And Darian adds, “I'm really excited to be a part of such a passionate project making such meaningful music. Kyle and I came together with the same intentions, which can be really rare to find in another musician. We have a lot of the same influences even though we come from different musical backgrounds, which I think only makes our collaboration more powerful. Bloom was such a fun video to shoot and has such haunting cinematic qualities, I'm sincerely so excited to share it and can't wait to see what our future brings.”

The Eiffels Release New Album

LA trio The Eiffels released their sophomore EP You Got Me this week and they are streaming it with Idobi Radio. In the album are shades of Bruce Springsteen and Phil Collins, although fans of contemporary music might here influence from The Bleachers or The Wombats.

"We're really excited to finally release the new EP," says vocalist Sean Ulbs. "We recorded these tracks after an ambitious U.S. tour, and the ways we grew musically, and as a band, come through in these songs."

Check out their video for "Coming to See You."

2016 was filled with all kinds of success for this group, especially after seeing their music appear in television shows (MTV’s Are You The One, The Only Way Is Essex), magazines (Relix Magazine), and were 2016 Unsigned Only - Alternative Artist winners (judges included The Killers and The Struts). They did this all while becoming regulars at some of LA’s favorite music venues.

Audience Killers debut EP Footprints And Heart was put out in July 2012. Since then, The band has performed across Europe at The Great Escape, Reeperbahn Music Festival, and Tallinn Music Week. They also released a standalone single, “Two Bare Feet.”

Audience Killers produce a fluid blend of synthpop and electropop, reminiscent of Mew and Passion Pit. Their record Floating Islands delivers warm, spacey synths, dreamy guitar lines, and ethereal vocals. It’s an attempt to prove a single person can affect numerous lives in a positive way.

The “Sounds Like You” music video follows young girl traveling across the Newfoundland countryside, slinging a lost star over her shoulder. When the story reaches it’s climax, the girl releases the star into the sky. Director Seb McKinnon explains, “To me, the video is about rekindling lost hope. A fall, and a rebirth. Sometimes, we have to let go of something that brought beauty into our lives. To move on can be difficult, but a necessary act for new hope to bloom.”
