Fit For A King's 'Oblivion' Reaches 1 Million Streams

Since their recently released album, Dark Skies, dropped, Fit For A King has been reaping the rewards. In under 1 week, the album has already surpassed 1 Million streams on Spotify, setting the band up for what could be the best first week in their 10-year history. To celebrate this achievement, featured track, “Oblivion,” now has an impressive music video to illustrate what we’ve all been feeling.

The emotional, heavy hitter of a track is musically and instrumentally unnerving. "Oblivion, on its own, is a very personal songs to me, but with this video, it's brought to a different level. The video shows how powerful forgiveness can be, and even when we don't think others deserve it, God does. This video definitely isn't for the faint of heart. But we believe it can show the power of forgiveness through the pain,” says the band of the music video, which you can check out below!

Dark Skies was produced and mixed by the legendary Drew Fulk (I Prevail, Motionless In White, Memphis May Fire.) Dark Skies is the band's evocative declaration of a hard won victory. "This album is far from happy. It's about personal struggles," explains singer Ryan Kirby.

Fit For A King will be hitting the road again next week when they join genre legends The Devil Wears Prada on their 10 Year Anniversary Tour of With Roots Above And Branches Below. Tour dates below!

Florida metalcore foursome, Stages have recent release a brand new music video!

After their label debut last year, the band kept writing new material and have just released the music video for "Therapy." The song is the lead single off their forthcoming Crisis EP that will be released in the fall.

Check it out below!

Aaron Berkshire had this to say about the single and release, "Music and this business is a therapy to my bandmates and myself. It is an escape from reality. Every time we get on a stage, play our music, hangout in general, it is therapy. This song also portrays the choice we are given as people to believe in god or whatever you want. And we don't judge you for that just because we have our beliefs. We appreciate anyone who can bop their head to this track. We are stoked to release our sophomore EP 'Crisis' this Fall.”

Through Lucid Eyes Stream Full EP "Transient"

Perhaps a symbol of ancient alien.... metalheads?

Metalcore: not for everyone's ears. It really seems to only fit a furious mood. One synonomous with sitting in traffic on a 95 degree day with no AC. Perhaps its the lack of instrumental variation in most of those songs, or that fact that the lyrics are just inherently difficult to understand.

As far as this genre is concerned, Through Lucid Eyes is actually pretty easy listening. The Canadian 5 piece has just streamed their new album Transient with a healthy dose of guest musicians and falsettos to add some ear piercing clarity to their slew of angry guitars.

Despite the EP's powerful presence, it's still difficult at times to cypher the screams and pick out some familiar vernacular. However, the vocals still prove themselves to be a near perfect layer, With one of the songs featuring guest singer Jesse Cash, the lyrics end up sounding like an urgent message on top of the heavy duty breakdowns and the anxious guitar riffs. When the guest vocals come in, imagine a sound as clear as Haley Williams, but a great deal more powerful.

They say they're going for the theme of dream like alternate demension, although im not sure how dreamlike music like this can be... or what kind of dreams this music would inspire.

They've upped their game having the mastering done by Jilian Rodriguez (Parallel Focus Studios), so stream the full album below and make sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter

Meet Me At The Gates Unveil "Life In Two" Music Video

In anticipation of the November 11th release of their Life In Two EP, the up-and-coming Oshkosh, OH metalcore outfit Meet Me At The Gates have recently put out a comprehensive new music video for the title track, "Life In Two."

Check it out below!

According to guitarist Jason LeBouton, this music video is more than just a simple scheduled roll-out for promotional purposes. "The song/video is the outline for the entire EP. The concept, feel, sound, everything," explains LeBouton. He continues, "The idea behind [the EP] is that good and evil are always on your shoulder throughout everything you experience in your life, and how you perceive your situation depends on which side you let through." In a genre that seemingly regurgitates subject matter, it is refreshing to see a group focused on bringing relatable content to the masses.

Life In Two Track List:
1. Genesis
2. Reborn
3. Dead Horizon
4. Overthrown
5. Life In Two

This has in no small terms been long-awaited, considering the band's first single, "Reborn", which is featured on the upcoming EP, was released about 2 years ago. In that time, the band has cultivated a respectable following and played many a show. In some ways, it feels as though the band waited until they felt they'd reached a certain level of recognition before releasing this self-produced EP, whose cover art has been made by none other than the metal art legend himself, Dan Mumford, who has done art for the likes of Parkway Drive, A Day To Remember, and The Devil Wears Prada, amongst others.

Be sure to follow these guys on their various social media to stay updated on the release of the EP and any predictable touring schedules that may be released in its wake. Keep an eye on these guys, because they're making meaningful metalcore again! So don't miss out, stay tuned!

The Creatures In Secret Share Music Video

The Creatures In Secret have a new music video for their track “Texas Red” and it is brutal!

This track is off of their first full length album which was released earlier this year. They worked extensively with Yanic Bercier of WaveTransform Studios on this new record. This dark music video compliments the track well with a charcoal autumn backdrop. The track drives with a great pounding beat with a memorable and melodic chorus.

Check out the video below!

According to Guitarist Allen Cox, “We are very excited to be releasing this new music video for 'Texas Red' off of our debut album "The Gathering". This song is about the struggle between an abusive father and his family, from the perspective of the son. He wishes to just hold a strong relationship with his father, but worst comes to worst, and he learns he needs to leave the situation. The lyrics discuss the process of "hell" the young man goes through, while learning he can and will have a better life.”

TCIS, as they have been dubbed, have a great energy that can only truly be experienced in their live performance. Their sound and style can be compared to that of As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and others like Green Day and Fall Out Boy. These guys cannot be ignored. They guys can be found on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

One Morning Left Release "Kings And Queens" Video

Finnish metalcore outfit One Morning Left has released a music video for their song "Kings And Queens" off their latest album Metalcore Superstars. The video was directed by Finnish cinematographers Optipari, and is meant to bring forth an aesthetic that expresses the deeper side of a usually nonsensical and party-hearty group.

Take a look at the video below!

Since the release of their 2013 album Our Sceneration, One Morning Left had been busy touring with the likes of We Butter The Bread With Butter, Protest The Hero, and Amaranthe, to name just a few. Then, in January, they put out Metalcore Superstars through Imminence Records, which was met with some acclaim.

The band are proponents of the EHM- or Electronic Hardcore Music - movement, which includes bands like I See Stars and Enter Shikari. Combining electronic/EDM music with elements of harder music is not new, as bands like Attack Attack! and I Set My Friends On Fire have been doing this for a while, as have artists in the Nintendocore genre. One Morning Left in particular is putting a heavily pop-oriented spin on it.

If you like what you're hearing, be sure to follow One Morning Left on their various social media! They may be coming through the states soon, so if you're trying to see them live you best be keeping up.

As always, stay tuned!

Under Paris Share Music Video For New Single

Metalcore quartet Under Paris release a video for their new single “Revive.” With this new single, they also toured with Ashes of My Regret and Set For Tomorrow. The tour began in Beckley, WV and finished Saginaw, MI!

According to Vocalist Michael Alexander, “Revive’ is more than just a song to us. It’s a new beginning. It’s a fresh start. For me personally it’s about getting a lot of things of my chest and saying what I’ve been thinking and feeling for the past two years. You hear the phrase ‘turning the page’ a lot but this is so much more. This is us closing the book on what we use to be and starting something new. This is us, being honest and being real. This is us moving on, this is us growing. This is our Revive.”

The band has been going strong since September 2012 beginning with a release of their first single, “If the Drugs Don’t Work, Can You Drive Me Home?” which featured Rene Lopez of Scarlett O’Hara. Their prolific work consists of two singles off of their first EP Our Stories and others off of their full length entitled “Transitions.” The band is very pleased to be signed to Imminence Records and hope to reach a larger audience with this single.

I, Apollo Premiere Music Video

North Lewisburg, Ohio's very own I, Apollo have graced us  with a brand new lyric video for their song "Surface," off their latest release, the Stranded EP.

Fresh off a tour in direct support of I Set My Friends On Fire, the self-proclaimed "Millennium Falcon of Metalcore" has collaborated with Corbin Thomas of wellcan media to bring this song, and the album work done by none other than the highly-respected Dan Mumford (A Day To Remember, Parkway Drive, Tear Out The Heart, The Devil Wears Prada, etc).

Check it out below!

"Surface" is wonderfully heavy from the get-go, with a rhythm that pummels listeners senseless followed by a dark, richly mournful chorus, showcasing vocalist Brendyn Moxley's versatility with aplomb. The lyrics of the song deal with the layers of the Governor, a character from the popular AMC show The Walking Dead. Through his evil deeds, he's brought upon himself an unimaginably terrible fate. The video attempts to depict the wide-reaching ideas relative to this evil. Moxley puts it very simply in saying "If you're a Walking Dead fan, the metaphors are strong in this one."

I, Apollo released the Stranded EP back in March, and can be purchased on iTunes and Amazon. The band has been active in supporting it ever since, and with more tours and material yet to be announced, now is as prime a time as any to follow these guys on their various social media so as to be prepared for their next moves. This summer has been very eventful for the band, and only big things are in store for them. As always, stay tuned for more menacing metalcore awesomeness!

NIHIL Unleash "Enslaved" Music Video

Boston's hardcore scene is nothing to be screwed with, considering the city was the starting point for notable hardcore acts like Death Before Dishonor, Bane, and Negative FX, to name a few. One of the latest additions to the ranks is Nihil, a three-piece of pulverizing proportions. Consisting of vocalist/bassist Jake Boes, guitarist Zach Bond, and drummer Devin McGrath, the band recently released a brand-new music video for their track "Enslaved" off their upcoming debut full-length album, Foundation.

Check it out below!

The song is a perfect taste of what the band is capable of, sporting unbridled rage and metal-inspired riff-age a-plenty. It has the raging intensity of a freight train, and the swirling chaos of that same freight train derailing.

Says Boes of the song, "The intensity and anger of the vocals really captures the mindset of the moment we wrote it. Lyrically, the song deals with the frustration of feeling trapped in life. Giving your blood, sweat, and tears to a cause and seeing nothing in return. It’s a concept I'm sure a lot of musicians understand very well."

Foundations Track List:

1. The Third Death
2. Wicker
3. Enslaved
4. Unending Violence
5. Gears
6. Foundation
7. Godrot
8. Sorrow Of The Gods
9. Lord Of Decay

Foundations is set to be released on November 5th!

Mixed by Aslan Freeman and mastered by Brad Boatright, the album comes from the heart and is set to make waves in the Boston hardcore scene and abroad.

Also announced recently, the band will be embarking on the Born To Die tour in September with Hot Gospel. It'll bring them to various destinations on the East Coast, ending in Wallingford, CT just in time to ring in Fall.

Check the dates out below:

Nihil has a lot coming up, so be sure to follow them on their various social media accounts for further info/ possible date changes, as mentioned above. Don't miss out on these dudes. As always, stay tuned for more hardcore hell-raising goodness!
