I The Victor's "Tongue & Stutter" Fall Jam You're Looking For

I The Victor are the Atlanta Based New Comers sure to rock your socks this Fall.

With a running start into the game this year including a tour with The Orphan The Poet, support shows with Vinyl Theatre and Vesperteen, a DIY west coast tour, and a handful of slots on Vans Warped Tour this past July. The solo project was created by Atlanta’s Rebecca Ramos, who co-produced “Tongue & Stutter” in addition to directing, writing & editing the music video.

Check out the music video below!

The track is the lead of three singles and videos to precede a new EP in early 2019.

About the single, Ramos states: “Tongue & Stutter is about individuality, really. We’ve been playing it live for a little bit and I always sum it up as a song about growth and making the intentional decision to be who you are and not be afraid of some of the risks that may come with that. I’ve grown so much since past ITV songs, I just wanted to write about not being as afraid to dive into the unknown, especially if the driving force is being more free and better off for it. There are dozens of little moments in the lyrics that mean the world to me or that exemplify little breakthroughs — not trusting a phone is in reference to my newfound disregard for social media and the numbers game, getting out of ‘the woods’ and into my own life instead of following people’s opinions and living for others, etc. I feel like Tongue & Stutter really led me through some growth I didn’t realize I needed; each section is it’s own little betterment of my headspace and that’s why I’m so excited to have it lead off this whole new era for I The Victor.”

Anthony Green Releases Phenomenal Solo Album

This past Friday, Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin) put out his long-awaited solo album Pixie Queen to mass audiences. The album is something of a collaboration between Green and Will Yip, who produced and released the album through his Memory Music label.

You can listen to the AV Club stream by following the link here.

Pixie Queen Track Listing:
1. You'll Be Fine
2. I'm Not Holding You Back
3. Will It Be
4. A Reason To Stay
5. East Coast Winters
6. Dawn On The Canal
7. From What I Understand
8. Cellar
9. Better Half
10. I'm Sorry For Everything I've Ever Done
11. Pixie Queen

The album is ambitious, boasting a multitude of instrumentation in the layered and beautiful arrangements that accompany Green's vocals. It's chock full of emotion, with an explorative spirit imbuing the entirety of the album. It feels as though Green has matured even more since his last solo release, which came out in 2014. Constantly building on his identity as an artist, it only makes sense that this change occurs as he sets forth to outdo himself with each successive album.

Green has also set out on a solo tour that began on September 2nd and will come to an end on October 1st right here in Philly. Make it a point to come out and see him! Check the dates below:

Anthony Green is a busy man, so you'd be smart to follow him on his respective social media outlets in order to stay up-to-date so you'll know what he's up to next! As always, stay tuned!

Will Wood and the Tapeworms Drop New Video

Experimental New Jersey rockers Will Wood and the Tapeworms have just released a video for their song “2012." The track is the first single from their upcoming concept album Self-ish. The new record will feature collaborations with members of bands like Foxy Shazam, Frnkiero AndThe Cellabration, and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Will Wood and the Tapeworms are based in Northern New Jersey, appearing on the scene in 2015. The group is known for their wild stage performances, and unusual instrumentations. Lead by the eccentric Will Wood, the band have become regulars in the NJ and NY indie scenes. They hope to begin national touring soon.

Check out the video here!

“2012” was directed by filmmaker Jesse Lazarus, who has a unique style. The video is erratic, bouncing around a number of different scenes starring Will Wood in various setting and outfits. The song is a fun funky number, but doesn’t hesitate to surprise you. The eclectic nature of both song and video fit the subject matter, in which Wood recounts his past, which left him with a “gaping hole in his memory where the entire year 2012 should be.”

Self-ish will drop on August 23, but it is available for pre-order right now! You can also check out the advance release show on August 19 at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ.
