Hawker M. James Shares "Love Like A Hurricane"

Indie glam rocker Hawker M. James released a new single, “Love Like A Hurricane.”

This isn't the first time the song received exposure. It was featured on an episode of the FOX hit series New Girl prior to the release of the single. The song is a twist on the indie rock formula, adding Bowie-esque glam rock sensibilities into the sweet and tender lyrics.

Hawker M. James has spent a lot of time perfecting his recording techniques, since starting as solo acts called Admirers and Mikey Jukebox. James is best known from the band Longwave. He has been with the band since 2001 and played alongside bands such as The Strokes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

It took James about 15 minutes to write “Love Like A Hurricane.” James commented on the writing of the track, “It rarely happens like that—I went right down to the basement and demoed it. The words just sprang out. It was one of those times where I thought, ‘damn, is this what Dylan or Lou Reed has at any given moment?”
