Singer/Songwriter Quinnell Shares Video

Pasco, Washington folk singer and songwriter Quinell partners with AXS to premiere the second installment in his Village Hall Sessions, “You Are Mine.” The new classic video was directed by Justin Frick in the Village Hall at the Walla Walla University Campus and features violinist Erica Aamodt.

The tune tells the story of instant, long lasting love. Quinell explains, "When I was 13yrs old, my Great Grandmother told me the story about how her and my Great Grandfather met. Both of their families had moved from the Ukraine to Saskatchewan Canada, where their story takes place. My Great Grandfather had bought a farm and one day while at the little country store, he heard that there was a "young lady from the old country" working there. Dating was a little different back then, as all he had to say was, "you're from the old country, so am I... we should get married". This song is their story, complete with living in a remodeled grain bin until they could build a house on their farm. When life was simple and love won out."

Since birth, it seems he was fated to be involved in the music industry; his name was extracted from the song title, “The Mighty Quinn” by Bob Dylan. After a year of teaching high school, his fascination with words and their relationship with music drove him to quit teaching and pursue a music career and independently release his first album in 2013, ‘Til We’re Free. He funded it through commercial fishing trips to Alaska, giving him the authentic feel of the Pacific West!

This fused with personal life experiences and hopeful messages provides the audience with tunes that they will not simply hear, but feel as well.
