It’s that time of year again folks. Time to crowd into open-air spaces with thousands of others, jam out to some of the best music imaginable, and avoid the porta-potties at all costs (shuddering just thinking about them)! Yes, it’s festival season! Adding to the excitement that grows with each passing week, Dirt Fest has announced its 2016 lineup, and it’s looking to be quite a banger this year!
The lineup is headlined by Massachusetts metalcore godfathers Killswitch Engage, Connecticut hardcore legends Hatebreed, the newly realized Asking Alexandria, Florida heavy metal veterans Trivium, and the raucous, ever-irreverent, always party-ready Attila.
The newly-resurrected Boston metalcore act Bury Your Dead will also be gracing the stage, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album Beauty and the Breakdown. They will be accompanied by Michigan natives and all-around badasses Walls of Jericho and Wilson.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy a slew of other metal and hard rock acts, including Soil, It Lies Within, 6 Prong Paw, Paralandra, Beyond Threshold, and Sydetrakt, along with many more. There are to be around 50 bands there to get down to, so look forward to more announcements in the near future.
Dirt Fest is set to take place at the Crowfoot Festival Grounds in Downtown Pontiac, Michigan on Saturday, August 13th. You can take a look at the line-up promo for yourself right below!
