New York based alt-rockers, The Walking Tree, have dropped their latest single, “Here Again There Again” ahead of their forthcoming EP, Cyclone Baby, which is due out in March, and it is pure energy!
Remaining true to the rock they grew up on, The Walking Tree channels bands like Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and The Vines, among others from that era of music, and really harnesses what made their music so good; no fancy gimmicks or over the top production, just really well written, in-your-face rock songs. “Here Again There Again” is the perfect example of this, and you can listen below!
The song was recorded live while the band played together in the same room which really helps capture that authentic and raw rock feeling which helped lay the entire foundation for Cyclone Baby.
Founding members and brothers Warren (guitar/vocals) and Kevin Trunk (drums) along with good friends Mike DiVittorio (bass) and Raffi Froudjian (guitar) have been killing the DIY scene since 2011, and although Cyclone Baby promises to be their most polished release to date, the band still has been completely hands on with every aspect of the record. This hard work and dedication translates extremely well to everything they touch and breathes a sense of real energy into what they create. We here at the Hook are extremely excited for their upcoming release and have been listening to “Here Again There Again” non-stop since we got it.
With the release of Cyclone Baby in March, 2017 looks to be a very big year for The Walking Tree. Be sure to stay updated on anything and everything The Walking Tree does through their social media and of course here at The Hook.
