Boston-natives, Sleeping Lion, recently dropped their new single entitled "Handful". The indie pop/electronic duo was excited to share the track after having written it during an apparently crazy summer in Brooklyn full of twists, turns and blossoming romance.

"Handful" brings to mind bands like Foals, Vampire Weekend, and maybe even Flight Facilities wrapped up in one band. It offers fun pop sounds, but also contains "chill," classic electronic dance feels in it - I'm curious as to what artists the band listens to and draws influence from.
Not only is the single fun, but it has a backstory that will warm your heart (lol).
Apparently, the group's vocalist, Nate Flaks, was at a house party wherein he saw a girl he thought to be out of his league. However, (somehow) Nate mustered up the courage to approach said girl. He was successful in not blowing it, and in turn, he got her number, and now? They're dating. Whoa.
So, if you're inspired by this modern romantic escapade and see the benefit of overcoming your social anxiety, you should definitely keep up with Sleeping Lion on their social media, links below!
