The Hook Journal is an online music magazine that covers signed and unsigned music makers. We support our local scene by throwing shows and festivals. We ensure that all of the artists we work with and for receive proper credit for all of their work. Most importantly, we just really love music.

Beginning in February 2016, The Hook Journal was created completely DIY in Philadelphia, PA. Creator Emily Famularo quickly absorbed herself in the local music scenes of Philadelphia, PA, Brooklyn, NY, and Asbury Park, NJ. With the help of some really talented artists, The Hook Journal is now a safe place for all local music across the country. We aim to share the good that music creates via shows, volunteer, charity, and written works.

We hope you enjoy.
